Sorry, I couldn’t help myself but as a Fashion Designer I’m always thinking about style + clothes so the Olympics is a completely different type of viewing experience for me. Not only am I engrossed in the competition, I’m judging heat seal Swarovski, crushed 4-way stretch velvet, and necklines on jerseys while being really confused by the print placement and color combinations for the uniforms from Spain and Russia. So OF COURSE when I saw Michael Phelp’s momma Debbie last night on NBC, all I could think about was STATEMENT JEWELRY with a vision of Janet Jackson from “That’s The Way Love Goes” with the African influenced choker and vest.
